How I use my Notepads

I have loads of notepads because I just love writing and staying organised! It's a weird obsession I don't know if there are others out there, like me, who just love notebooks, especially a brand new one. My notebooks/journals serve about 5-7 purposes. I know there's probably someone screaming in the background... "I'm sure you can use one or even two". Listen, I know but I don't want to hehehe! Personally, for me I feel each book serves its own purpose and I want to keep my vision clear. 1. Moleskines Two-go notepad   ( not go-to ) This is what I use to plan, scheme and brainstorm.  I sketch, draw, budget, scribble and literally just make a mess on a page trying to figure out what to do and how to do it. For planning and structing my pans I love notepads like this where, once opened has one blank page and one lined page, so I’m able to do my break-down so clearly from there. 2. Queen Bee notepad I only bought it because it was on sale f

JemzJourney: Amsterdam

Destination: Amsterdam Now this will be a very short post, purely because I've been 'Dam before and I really did not feel like a tourist or did much of the tourist-y things this time round! I didn't even take much pictures I just kind of went with the flow! Honestly I just needed a break, a breath of fresh air in a place that's not home! Dam is one of those cities that you just go to have fun and when people ask you what you did you just say, I had fun! No details necessary! Lol if you know then you know! Some activities are not everyone's cup of tea but hey each to their own! Accommodation I flew with British Airways and stayed in Hoofddorp which is very close to Schipol Airport. Normally I like to stay city center and be close to attractions but my return flight was a bit early so I wanted to be close to the airport. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. It was very simple, clean and had the bare necessities. I was not looking for something lav

Don't work a 9-5!!!

Do you have a 9-5 or thereabouts? Don't you find it a bit annoying when you work hard and do what you need to do but yet people look down on you and say things like, "you should be doing more!" Many of us have worked hard in school, got degrees in the field and amazingly are also working in that field but for some reason if you fall into the working schedule of 9-5 apparently you haven't done much with your life. If your working time falls short of any form of flexibility starting and finishing time or if your day runs on a schedule you're almost frowned upon. You then hear remarks, "I can't do a 9-5" well sorry mate you can't do it because you can't wake up on time. On a serious note, for most their dream has been to be an accountant, do you even know how difficult it is to be chartered? The amount of exams you will need to do just to get where you want to be. Now if I'm chartered and receive a decent pay cheque being where I'v

Credit Cards: Yes or A NO-NO?

One thing that you need to understand about the world we live in is that, it runs on debt. We live in a debt fuelled society. From the countries borrowing and owing money to central banks and presidents who put their countries in debit with other countries. Which then fuels down to local banks with credit cards, loans and even store cards. We have been immersed into the life of buy now pay later and we are trained to think that it is ok! We are not afraid anymore of not having money anymore. We can buy all we want now and pay it back later despite the fact that we can actually be paying more than the initial price. However, some people still fear credit cards as though it's the pikin of the devil! Lol Surely there must be a way around this system right? Can we actually use this debt thing to actually work in our favour? There's always a loophole somewhere, can credit cards actually work in our favour? Yes, they can as long as you use it wisely. What do I mean by

I miss you

Have you ever gone through something and it left such an imprint on you that it changed you? Then one day it dawns on you that you've never been the same since that day. Regardless of the years, months or weeks it feels as though you left yourself back there. Since then it's just never been the same. Have you ever sat and said to yourself, "I never used to be like this". "I never used to do things like this". "I wasn't always like this". History can be so scary because it has a way of remaining in the present and frequently resurfacing itself without permission. Have you ever had to make a decision under duress? Have you ever had to make a decision for your future whilst in pain? To later only realise that decision was the worst decision ever and as a result you feel stuck and unable to stop asking yourself why? Have you ever wished to go back to a specific moment and say either yes or no because you made a terrible mistake? The gre

Romantic strangers with history

He knows, she knows, I know she knows I know he knows... The complex simplicity of having freedom of movement yet still a slave to feelings from history. The glances stirred up from memories and the poetic injustice of unspoken words that surface when ... Touch.. Closeness and depths are remembered. Yes injustice, unspoken words lost in oblivion and caged in gates of what could have been... 'Had I only told her...or him' He knows, she knows, I know she knows I know he knows... Detailed scenarios carefully knitted together in mind of moments that the heart wanted to so experience and the soul desired to capture in the depths of its walls but the eyes never got a chance to see. That hands never got a chance to feel. History remains as fragments, the good times battling the times you saw the worst in each other. The sleepless nights of wondering what the other person was thinking. The nights when you were ready to give it all up because it no longer felt like how it did
