updated hair products!

Hey guys, this is just a quick update on my hair regiment products. I have been getting phone calls, twitter, facebook and even emails on tips and advices for natural hair treatments…. *shyface*
I’m really really shocked. So I will try and post a lot more tips and try to take a lot more pics.

From my other blog posts you’ll see what products I generally use, however there are new editions and some that I rarely use such as Herbal Essence Hello Hydration.

First is the SCALPURE Conditioner; I use this to co-wash about once a week unless hair is braided. LAWDY LAWDY LAWDY… I absolutely love this, it contains a variety of oils, no parabens its amazing. Furthermore it leaves my hair feeling mega-soft, it contains peppermint oil which you feel tingling your scalp!! Love it. Hair feels hydrated and it looks shiny as well! I've been using it for almost 3months now.

I’ve started to use Scalpure hair mask as well, especially after I take out braids, to really cleanse my scalp!! I’m noticing a lot of growth, since my accidental chop in February
*jumps of bridge-but-survives*.

Secondly Elasta QP’s Soy Oyl deep conditioner… this is divine!! The protein treatment is not too heavy on my hair, its helping me retain length, moisture and flexibility in my hair. I just mix it with my oils and leave it on overnight or on busy days 1hour. Sometimes I mix it with Organic Root Stimalor’s Hair Mayonnaise and the combo actually doesn’t weigh my hair down! It just makes my afro sooooooo soft, sometimes too soft to plait and so easy to detangle. However I must state, depending on your hair texture and thickness your hair may not be subject to react the exact way my does. Nevertheless for me these products work.

its very affordable under £4 for abot 32.oz which is amazing!

My hair’s favourite oils at the moment are: Castor oil, Coconut oil and Peppermint oil. I still use my other oils but these three are ranking tops at the mo.

TIPS
  • If you use oils try to get them in their purest, virgin form, so pure you can cook with it.
  • Water works wonder, mist/spray a little before bed or going out to liven up hair and keep it hydrated.
  • Sleep with head wrap, locks in moisture
Final tip:

Love yourself the way you were made, embrace it but remember; the beauty of a woman is not limited to her face, hair or figure but is found in the pureness of her heart and the gentleness of her spirit.
So be unique be a Perfect Jem.

Credit Cards: Yes or A NO-NO?

One thing that you need to understand about the world we live in is that, it runs on debt. We live in a debt fuelled society. From the countries borrowing and owing money to central banks and presidents who put their countries in debit with other countries. Which then fuels down to local banks with credit cards, loans and even store cards. We have been immersed into the life of buy now pay later and we are trained to think that it is ok! We are not afraid anymore of not having money anymore. We can buy all we want now and pay it back later despite the fact that we can actually be paying more than the initial price. However, some people still fear credit cards as though it's the pikin of the devil! Lol Surely there must be a way around this system right? Can we actually use this debt thing to actually work in our favour? There's always a loophole somewhere, can credit cards actually work in our favour? Yes, they can as long as you use it wisely. What do I mean by
