How I use my Notepads

I have loads of notepads because I just love writing and staying organised! It's a weird obsession I don't know if there are others out there, like me, who just love notebooks, especially a brand new one.

My notebooks/journals serve about 5-7 purposes. I know there's probably someone screaming in the background... "I'm sure you can use one or even two".

Listen, I know but I don't want to hehehe! Personally, for me I feel each book serves its own purpose and I want to keep my vision clear.

1. Moleskines Two-go notepad (not go-to)
This is what I use to plan, scheme and brainstorm. I sketch, draw, budget, scribble and literally just make a mess on a page trying to figure out what to do and how to do it. For planning and structing my pans I love notepads like this where, once opened has one blank page and one lined page, so I’m able to do my break-down so clearly from there.

2. Queen Bee notepad
I only bought it because it was on sale for something ridiculous like £2-3 I like my note books to at least look classy or handy. I had ran out of pages on my old one so I picked this one up. Here I write my goals, what I want to achieve even if it seems ridiculous or unachievable I'll still write it down. The fact that I've conceived the idea there's a possibility of achieving it. I also jot down any ideas that comes to my mind, whether it's for my future, a business idea, a recipe to try, I write it down! I want to invest in the things I think about and help build my inherent creative abilities. I just want to always be ready to receive and action opportunities. If the idea goes well and is feasible then I can transfer it to my Two-go notebook and begin time lining and working out how I'm going to make the goal/idea happen!

3. Weekly Journal planner
This is a planner I can keep in my handbag/satchel, it literally will have the most necessary things that I need to do. I double-book myself a lot or I can easy forget to do certain things, at least with this I'm accountable. I have never really been a digital calendar person, maybe I haven't found an app that works for me but I've been trying to limit picking up my phone and using it because it is my biggest distraction. After I finish doing any of the activities, my appointments or tasks, I tick them off. This gives me such a sense of an achievement or accomplishment! Sometimes be your own number 1 fan. I’m currently using a 2017-2018 18 month calendar that has weekly planner on one page and the other page is a lined page. This way I can add more notes, a to-do list, to buy list and not to buy list. I can work out my budget for that week or the day on there as well.

Oh yes I can hear you at back screaming.. you must be childless to be able to all this. I have met people who have kids and still make things happen. Do things to your capacity but don't deny yourself your best life because of your kids. Plan your life around them and remember you are your child's first example let it be a good one. In fact we should all take a leap out of some parents books because you clean, feed your little ones, send some to school and you probably go work, or you're at home doing laundry or cleaning up then school runs or afternoon naps or food shopping. Then you have to make dinner, wash then up and put them to bed after a long shift. You guys are the real MVPs. You do so much in one day, some of us just go to our jobs come back home and be like, "I'm tired." So, Just structure how you want to do things. Take back control.

4. Meditation scripture
This is probably the notebooks I go through the quickest. I love studying the word and learning and questioning the bible. So I take some personal time to meditate and study the bible. If I come across scriptures I don't understand I write down my question, pray and meditate for enlightenment. I also write how I'm emotionally feeling because most times I don't discuss how I'm feeling. I have realised I find it so much more easier to transfer the burdens on my heart and mind on paper during my meditation time with God. It's a lot more organic and I don't need to find intellectual ways to articulate myself, I just pour myself out, vent or share my joy. This doesn't substitute prayers it's just sometimes I write to God. (It just makes sense to me, and I've been doing it for years). For my Christians ask the Holy Spirit for direction and then write it down when he gives it. However, you choose to tap into your spirituality keep a note of it then read back on it after a few months and you'll be shocked of the knowledge you released on paper.

5. Studying pad
If I'm learning a new course, subject I'll use this. Earlier on this year I went back to school (well I took up an intense Adult Learning Course) and goodness it was difficult getting back to the swing of things but I used this notepad to note take in class. If I'm learning something new online I'll use this pad to note take as well, essentially I like to keep my educational stuff altogether.

6. Thinking pad
I'm constantly thinking so I used to travel with this little pad everywhere with me and write down my thoughts or crazy ideas that come to mind similar to the other notepad, but depending on where I am, I have since realised that it can be easier to just jot it down on my phone until I get home and I can transfer it to my notepad.

7. Budget book
I like to monitor my outgoings and I tried going digital but it just felt sooooo technological. It felt like I was at work again. Since I work out my weekly budget on paper it just makes sense for me to monitor it like this. Therefore, I can be accountable and sometimes when you write things down and it is in front of you, you can notice your stupidity (overspending for me).

Remember, your notepad planning doesn't need to be exactly like this, you don't need to go and buy loads of notepads. I love writing hence why I'm always doing it or in fact doing the most! If you want a more specific and detailed break down on how I use any one of the notebooks just let me know.

Hope you found this helpful!

Credit Cards: Yes or A NO-NO?

One thing that you need to understand about the world we live in is that, it runs on debt. We live in a debt fuelled society. From the countries borrowing and owing money to central banks and presidents who put their countries in debit with other countries. Which then fuels down to local banks with credit cards, loans and even store cards. We have been immersed into the life of buy now pay later and we are trained to think that it is ok! We are not afraid anymore of not having money anymore. We can buy all we want now and pay it back later despite the fact that we can actually be paying more than the initial price. However, some people still fear credit cards as though it's the pikin of the devil! Lol Surely there must be a way around this system right? Can we actually use this debt thing to actually work in our favour? There's always a loophole somewhere, can credit cards actually work in our favour? Yes, they can as long as you use it wisely. What do I mean by

KER-CHINGGG!! moneyyyy!!

MoNEy mONey MONEYYYYY! *hums the tune* YH YH Perfect Jem , what can you tell us that we don’t already know? Nothing! King Solomon one of the wisest men that ever lived said, “there’s nothing new under the sun”.     My question to you now is what are you doing with the knowledge that you have? Remember Knowledge is only power in the hands of someone that knows how to use it. Knowledge is acquired by either information or revelation. The difference is that information is acquired by you seeing, hearing, touching or feeling something. Revelation is a hidden truth that is discovered either by divine intervention or by your educated inner man.   For example have you ever had a moment when you seemed to know something and you have no idea how you know it… you even wonder... “Like wow...i knew that”. Especially to those who do regular speaking, speeches, you say something and you think like...wow... that came out of me. That is
